Kate Peterson LPC, LMFT
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Kate specializes in working with couples, families, and children on a range of relational issues, from infidelity and pre-marital counseling to family conflict and life transitions. Kate utilizes a systemic therapy approach that places each person, couple, child, or family in the context of their unique environment and circumstances. Kate tailors her approach to each client with a mix of emotionally-focused therapeutic techniques along with cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), and intergenerational influences.
Kate began her career working as a pastoral care counselor in hospitals in Minneapolis and Denver. Kate received her Master of Theological Studies degree from Boston University School of Theology in 2016, and offers religious and spiritual-based counseling to those who request it. Kate received her Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Colorado - Denver in 2022, and has thoroughly enjoyed helping clients grow and flourish in their lives ever since.
